Animations Not Saving To Roblox!

You can write your topic however you want, but you need to answer these questions:

  1. I wish to achieve a growing game one day.

  2. My issue is how I cannot save my animations as animations. They get saved as models for some apparent reason.

  3. I have watched a billion scripting tutorials on how to do this. I tried exporting the animation to my group. I do own the game. I have tried saving it to Roblox, but it keeps saving it as a regular model. Please do not leave these suggestions down in the comments because I have already tried it.

This is just animations for a few dance moves apart of a gui. Here is the game: Kenyan's Difficulty Chart Obby | TIMED TRIALS - Roblox!

When you go into the animation editor, save the animation once done animating. Go into the model you just animated. If you are using the default editor, you should see “AnimSaves”. Look in there and find the animation you want. It should be a picture of a blue square for its icon. Right Click> Save to Roblox. Then name the animation and you are done. You are most likely saving actual animation instances.

(Btw, the “blue squares” are called Keyframes I think.)

Figured it out, thanks for the image. You can’t save normal animations!!! You must save keyframes made from animations you made or from the editor. You cannot use animations you don’t own, and you cant save actual animation instances.

Ok thanks so much! I will try to see if this works!

Just let me know if you are confused.

Exactly how do I get the Key Frames from the animations? I am new to animating.

Alright, lets go into detail here.

  1. Have you made your animation yet OR found one in the toolbox? Most “Animations” in the toolbox look like grey roblox characters. This is because you have to open them in the Animation Editor plugin.

  2. Assuming you have made an animation and it is ready to go, look in the model you just animated and open up AnimSaves.

  3. Once you do this, you should see the animation you just created in there.

  4. Right click the animation, then save it to roblox.

  5. Replace the Animation.AnimationId with the one you just made.

  6. Tada! The animation should work now!

TIP FOR ANIMATING: Make sure the animations priority is Action or it might not play correctly!

Omg, thanks so much you got it to work. Your method works:D

No problem, Im here to help people
