Flashstorm Animator Role
About Us
I’m gonna keep the default recruitment template the DevForum has provided here, so please don’t roast me in the comments. I’m Chad and my passion is making ‘serious’ roleplay games - like post-apocalypse and medieval fantasy. I work with a handful of builders to make our games, with me doing the coding. I’m an animator myself so I feel I have a decent grasp on the difficulty of creating weighty, life-like animations. Currently we have 3 games running which usually total around 1000 concurrent players. We’re not making huge AAA games or anything but we’re passionate about what we do and the community is incredibly engaged for its size. Our post-apoc community discord is 32,500 members strong and our medieval fantasy community (still pretty new) discord has 7,500 members.

About The Job
I’m looking to work with an animator on a project-based status. You would be working with R15 rigs and tool/gun rigs to make the characters in-game look squeaky clean and smoothly animated. It’s not a full-time job or anything, and the animations projects we’re expecting to do would be relatively episodic. A set of 10 looped animations one week, maybe 2 the next week, maybe 0 the week after that. Most animations will be a second long or shorter, though a handful may go up to 5 seconds. It depends on our project flow, but we’d greatly appreciate your presence on the team if you’re after some extra cash and you feel you can make these animations look good.
Payment
I will be paying $25 per hour of work for animations. I usually do PayPal, but if you’d like another method of payment that can be discussed.
