As far as I am aware, GIMP should be still downloadable on the Mac. It’s a free Photoshop alternative. It is kind of unintuitive but with a few tutorials you could learn how to use it.
Is it M1 Native? I have an M1 Mac, and I do not want Rosetta to mess up picture quality.
There is an M1 compatible GIMP build but it’s unofficial. The official builds are known to be barely usable for big sur, resulting in major performance issues. These builds have been modified to solve those performance issues, etc.
