Any tips on making 360 skyboxes

Hi I’m Kr_ei, and I’ve been building a skyscraper in Roblox that is meant to be located in London, I was thinking of making individual buildings to form a skyline, but I figured that would take up too much effort, and it also might decrease gameplay quality. So I was thinking of just making a 360 skybox. Do you guys have any tips on how to make it more seamlessly blended into the sky, because my current skybox has these awkward cuts and misalignments.

I was thinking of creating a skybox like this, so hotel guests can have a kind of realistic and scenic view from the higher hotel levels

Using your 3D modeling software of choice, do the following:

  1. Find an HDRI of choice that you want to turn into a skybox
  2. Import the HDRI as a sky in your scene
    Create a Camera at 0,0,0 with no rotation, set the FOV to 90 degrees, and set the image size to 1024x1024 pixels
  3. Render out six different images: The first four (front, right, back, left) should be made by setting the Y orientation of your camera to multiples of 90 degrees, and the last two (top, bottom) should be made by setting the X orientation of your camera to -90 degrees and 90 degrees respectively.

This will create the six images you need for your skybox!
