Any way on how to view a moving part in studio?

This is a support category for asking questions about how to get something done on the Roblox websites or how to do something on Roblox applications such as Roblox Studio.

You can write your topic however you want, but you need to answer these questions:

  1. I wanted to know if you could view a moving a part in studio, since alot of the showcase videos i’ve looked at had that type of feature. There is the zoom to feature but if a part is moving then you would have to constantly press zoom to and i wanted know if there is another feature that locks ur camera onto the part at all times. Keep it simple and clear!

  2. I’ve looked mostly everywhere and i can’t seem to find something like this, but on showcase videos they usually have that kind of feature. I’m not sure if it’s just that i haven’t found the feature or if it justs a plugin that does that. Include screenshots / videos if possible!

  3. I’ve tried looking everywhere but it doesn’t seem like anyone has talked about this yet. Did you look for solutions on the Developer Hub?

After that, you should include more details if you have any. Try to make your topic as descriptive as possible, so that it’s easier for people to help you!

do you mean locking the camera onto the part?

Basically do you know the zoom to feature where it drags your camera position to the part’s positions basically that but instead of dragging it a singular time it drags infinitely, basically locking the camera on the object. I wanted to know if there is a feature for that, or if its a plugin or if it requires scripting.

I’m not sure. It might be a feature on the camera or humanoid, I remember messing around with it.

I think i found out how to do it, all you gotta do is select the part and the F key. anyway thanks for the help

Go to the camera and select the part as the subject and change the type to Track.

Or hold the F key (but it will be at a low FPS).
