API documentation in Type Hover menu not displayed when writing events

The Type Hover documentation is a great feature, however it seems to not fully be aware of how connections are made and when developers need the info.

In the following video you can see it gave me documentation for MarketplaceService.PromptPurchaseFinished while I was writing the event name, and connect but as soon as I actually give a function definition it is no longer autocompleting it for me.

Thanks for the report! We’ll follow up when there’s any update on the issue.

It could be because :connect is deprecated. The autocomplete should work with C uppercase.

You’re right, just double checked it myself and type hover came up with Connect. Regardless I still hope Roblox can patch this because I instinctively type connect like a boomer

It might be a good feature to warn people about using deprecated code, kinda like a spell checker, though it can also get annoying. I’ll bring this up with the team, though I can’t promise you any dates.
