It may look laggy with all the parts moving but ive tested it with 1000 fish and it ran fine so I doubt that will be an issue for a small aquarium like I have planned

Fish will face the direction they are swimming
Jellyfish will always face upwards
Squid will always have their heads face the way they are swimming

I couldnt figure out how to rotate the squid mesh so I just made it apart of the script

That’s pretty cool. There are a few things I notice that could be fixed however.

  1. make the sea creatures slowly rotate.
In your video, all the creatures instantly rotate, it would look better if they slowly turned around.

  2. make the creatures turn 1 at a time.
In your video, all the fish turn at the same time, which looks really weird and unnatural. they should turn at random intervals.

this is neat. I recommend moving them with alignposition and changing their orientation with an alginorientation if you aren’t already: they’re very smooth and performant.

I tried having them slowly rotate but they ended up swimming sideways most of the time but Im using them for a classic style build so im ok with the neck snapping they do and I think the second issue is just because I spawn them from the same spot, maybe if I spread them out they wont be as off

Maybe you should edit that to what you meant…
[update: it’s fixed now!]

Took your ideas into account, I tried making them slowly turn but always ended up with sideways swimming fish, as for making them not swim at the same time they do that now! thank you for your input and helping me make it better!
