AR-15 Model + Textures

An AR-15 that was textured in Substance Painter. One of my first real guns that I’ve gotten around to texturing, and I’m pretty proud of it! The textures were also supposed to be imported into Studio to test out SurfaceAppearance but some texture maps won’t load so it broke the whole thing.

Studio Model

Uploading texture maps for SurfaceAppearance is incredibly tedious to do and I hope they figure out an easier and actually good solution in the near future.

Heres another joke:
I searched a list of ten puns to find one that could made me laugh…
No pun in ten did.

That gun looks amazing! What happened to the text on the mag and the body?

That pun look a little bit to understand.

The textures didn’t import into Studio.

Nice! Is this going to be used for a game or was this just for fun?

In a game. I like to make stuff that serves a purpose beyond just looking nice on a portfolio.

What do you mean?
Try this:
Upload it as decal, (just one) (the whole texture)
And than just change texture id of it to the decal id hope it helps ;d

That looks really good, great model!

This is pretty much what I do normally. I’ve been using the Bulk Import in Studio for every single one of my meshes and it worked fine until now. Bulk Import is the same process as importing on the website as it still gives you an asset ID as well as uploading it to your group or personal images. I guess I just got unlucky this time.

Are you open for commissions?

Afraid not. I’m making this stuff for my own game and thus I’m not really available for work on other projects.

I’ll take that as a compliment! I’ve been thinking about putting some of my stuff up for sale if it gets past a certain age or I just haven’t used it in a while.
