When searching for decals, I notice that some decals are archived. They’re noticeable because of the icons they have (cards with question marks on them), like this:
If I were to use InsertService:LoadAsset() on the archived decal, it would end up giving me the error “Requested asset is archived.” This also happens when trying to insert them through the toolbox. I believe these shouldn’t show up in the Decals section since they are unable to be used within games.
Expected behavior
I expect for the toolbox-service API to not return any archived assets from any searches
Though, at a second glance, I’m unsure if either category is fitting for this? “Roblox-created assets on the Marketplace” is too narrow, and “shopping for avatar items, browsing experiences, or managing your profile” is very general
Or, maybe, you can try filing it under Website - display the issue on the site - then tack on the API as supplementary? It’s hard to say for sure which is best but I do think either of those would give you much more success then this category. This one’s almost exclusively used to report issues with specific catalog items & doesn’t normally expand to the creator marketplace
Please do (doesn’t seem like you’ve done it yet, on my end). FYI #bug-reports:catalog-asset-bugs is for issues with Roblox-owned catalog items, not bugs with APIs
