Archiving a stolen rendermesh

Hello !

Someone saw some of my models into a public model in the toolbox. As I don’t want him to spread the mesh as he wants, I wanted to archive it. But, the mesh seems to be a rendermesh, and I still can’t archive it to make it unavailable to people. Repports don’t work as roblox want to close their eyes on massive game downloading with some kind of exploits. I want to know if there is a way to do that, to stop him spreading my own creations. Thanks.

I have to say as well that none of our games are downloadable, they don’t have any access to my inventory.

How did they get it? If you made it free/allowed copying they have all permission to republish it.

I think that they got it by the way of exploits. All my meshes are blocked from copying. I litterally think that they used some kind of exploits to download the baseplate and put everything on their own maps. In that case, a “vignette” that he made free to copy with my helmets on that aren’t free to copy.

Try reporting it, I think that’s all you can really do. Your proof of you owning it can be the creation dates of the assets.

Anyway, it worked finally by archiving the helmet. Thanks for helping. I’ve been reporting once, I got a negative answer despite of all the proofs. Stay safe mate with this kind of dude.

How did you archive something that someone else uploaded?

I had to archive the mesh itself, going on my meshes pannel and configuration on the mesh. After that, I clicked on archive and the mesh disappear on all games that use them.

Yes. With the exploit called Synapse X (And Maybe others) You can type “saveinstance()” and it will download the map. The only way to avoid this is to private your games.

Thanks for that, i didn’t knew. Where do they use that command ? In the roblox chat or in a consol (that would be more logical). If it’s the first one, I see a way to prevent from using that. If it’s the second one, i’ll either find a way to detect that. But I have doubts. I don’t know anything about exploits, but I should try to see what I can learn from those exploits to prevent these kids from stealing our games.

I believe preventing this is currently impossible, unfortunately.

There is a third party software that they type it into, unfortunately there is no way to patch it. You have to rely on ROBLOX updating.

For me personally when I develop, I tend to go on Blender to texture all of my meshes and import those textures as local file, so there’s no way that someone can download the texture when they run save instance.

Mesh though can’t be stored locally and once it’s stolen it’s stolen.
