So I heard from a post a while back, that having an anti alt script(a script that detects if a player is a new account) is apparently against the roblox TOS because of discimination? Idk how true this is but I just want confirmation on if it is true or not.
Should just read the Community Standards and Terms of Use. Community standards does forbid discrimination, but using an alternate account is not something it considers a basis for discrimination. It’s more for who the player is behind the screen. Roblox has their own dealings for the use of alternate accounts to evade punishment from the platform, but in-game moderations left to the developers.
That being said, banning new accounts is a poor way to prevent alts. A troll willing to evade an in-game ban may have an old alternate account ready, and they aren’t hard to come by if they need a new one. The idea punishes truly new players the most imo.
Alt accounts for the average Roblox player? Then no. If you mean for someone who has been terminated on ROBLOX and makes a new account to evade the ban, then yes.
unless they are eligible for new account creation. This really only counts if there ip banned or smth. (if you meant this, apoligies.) If its only one account deletion/termination, then they ARE eligible for a new account if it states so in the ban message. (in most cases you can even if its not in there.)
