So I’ve created these characters, and none of them have faces. I’ve modeled them all in Blender and rigged them up for R15 using a script I wrote and some cool technique, but I was wondering what you guys thought about me leaving faces off them, or should I model faces on the characters with Blender?
My game is going to be new… maybe I could release it as a beta, with the characters as they are?
Here’s the main character - Brady… its a story game:

its probably fine to leave the faces off, many games do it, for example:
deadzone, towerbattles, tower defense simulator, i THINK they all have no faces

That’s because they don’t need to project emotions, for a story game? Clothing and manner of speech can only do so much to project a character. The face is the most important part of story-telling. I see no good reason of opting to remove them.
So @JasonTheOwner , I personally don’t think that the art style should get in the way of story-telling, especially characterization. I understand that this makes the game somewhat unique, but let’s be realistic here… Who will remember a game for having no faces in it’s characters? Unless it’s a noteworthy feature, I don’t recognize a point.

I think that you should at least add eyes as it is very unsettling looking at blank heads. But that’s my opinion you do whatever you feel fits the game.
