Hello, nowadays you can see Border themed games rising within the Roblox platform. For instance, you can see games like “Military Simulator” reach high visit rates while making a large profit. I see this theme as an opportunity to make some money while creating a fun environment that all ages can enjoy. Anyways, I was wondering what you guys think. Do you believe Border games are worth your time? Please tell me your opinions. Thank you, and have a great day!
I think that they are pretty repetitive at this point and I really don’t think it is worth putting the effort into the build. While they do make decent robux, I think the community would much rather like to see an original game.
Would you think that a more interactive/story version of this theme could receive higher chances of success?
Definitely. Even if you do an original twist on a game, it is still way better than just directly copying it. Honestly, a border story game would be pretty cool.
Alright, thank you for your feedback!
Just remember even in doing that you are not unique. Teiyia has been bugging me for a week now, wanting to do a border type game but with a more interactive story.
So what I think it really comes down to, is whether you make a border game or something new, make it solid with no glitches or bugs, and fair to players so nobody is cheated, and make it something you would want to play.
Thats what I feel will make it successful, even if there are other similar games.
Border games are fun for about 2 seconds until that one bacon hair with the AK comes and blasts you to kingdom-come. Waiting in line for really nothing but to get shot for walking weird is also kinda boring. If you want to make a border game, make it fair, and make a reason to cross the border.
Border games to be seem like “Wait in line” games
I made a post exactly asking about this 2 months ago and I got a 50/50 answer. I can show you the replies I’ve received that were very helpful when I made a post about Border Games:
That’s all I know that is really helpful. Credit anyone, I quoted, and hopefully, you can ever make a Border game, good luck and have a goodnight!

Take this with a pinch of salt, but border games seem to possess a few characteristics.
Flexing on others
The affluent can at the click of a button (mostly gamepasses) gain special ‘abilities’ which seem ‘superior’ to average players and bask themselves in the mere feeling of superiority.
Hardcore Roleplaying
Well it’s a roleplaying game, but some simply take it too far. Chill folks.
Conclusion: Only settle for a border game wherein a new concept is introduced, avoid doing so simply to establish ‘social hierarchies’ for people to move through without a larger purpose.
I think you’re missing the point. No game is worth making if you expect something from it.
If you make a game. You make it because you like the idea. You like knowing you have that game. And you like the game no matter what, Of course you’ll have to listen to others everyonce in a while. But the fact doesn’t come down to is the game worth it. Its how much motivation you have to make the game good.
My point is, If you focus your end goal on money. Your game is going to most likely be bad. Ofc there are exceptions. But its more likely you’re going to have a bad game.
You put the time and effort in. You end up loving the game even if people dont play it. You keep building it and keep managing it. You find it fun to build and create it. And though that fun, That motivation you’ll build a platform for others. A measure that people can go to, to enjoy your game.
So it comes down to how much motivation do you have to make that game. It’s only worth it if you’re the one putting in the most you can.
