Are court games with group consequences allowed?

Hello! :seal:

For my group I thought on making a court game where a Judge and jury could decide the consequences for another player; consequences like a ban or role degradation. However, I’m not sure if this allowed by Roblox Terms of Service. I’ve searched the ToS trying to find an answer but I haven’t.

If you know if this is allowed or not I’ll appreciate it if you tell me! :dog:

That is far too harsh. It’s just a game, not a death match.

It’s a role play group. I’d like trollers to have consequences for guaranteeing an enjoyable game.

If the judge or jury don’t have infinite power, your game will be fine.

The Roblox Terms of Use are concerned with the civility of users and intent of use with the platform, not necessarily with the way you choose to run your groups. Roleplay communities with courts don’t touch on that subject unless of course your users are behaving inappropriately.

Ultimately not everything does get written down or have a dichotomous interpretation, so you need to use common sense when approaching something you want to do for your group and think about whether it’s inappropriate or not. Why would you think a court is against the Terms of Use, for instance?

Ok, thanks for the reply. I’d take into consideration not going too far with the power granted in-game to players.

I thought a court could go against the ToS because it resembles law with real consequences, something I consider Roblox moderators should only do. But I realized it is not completely related to real law.
