Yes, they are very profitable. Simulators make millions of robux. They were big in 2018 - 2019, but have died down. Still popular, though.

I wouldn’t recommend making one, because simulators are boring and repetitive. I try to make games with original ideas instead of following trends.

But up to you, as I said before, simulators make tons of robux. They have a lot of micro transactions and gamepasses. I can’t stop you from making them, but if you wanna quick buck then go ahead.

Only little kids really play simulator games nowadays, I would not recommend making one since it has been done several times before.

It really depends. The category for the simulator is the main idea of it. You should check if someone had already taken the simulator name. It is still profitable by each type of category for the simulator.

Yes, it is, however you won’t be seeing them on the top 3 games on roblox, a simulator can be on the front page for maybe a month+ but will soon die out, however in the month of time, if you monetize it correctly it could make millions of robux+

Actually, you can make just about anything profitable. The way how is with marketing strategies.

Design

Design of the game is a huge factor. To make a comfortable design, making the player feel as if purchasing the product is a deal on their side is key.

Color Coding
Different colors of the design of the game makes players feel different ways. Company’s use this as a way to market their products.

Fun fact: in apples iMesssage, any texts from a non-apple device appears green, which makes the people feel uncomfortable. This makes the apple users pressure the user of a different phone type, such as Android, to pressure them to get an apple phone. Also, blue is the text color from other apple users, which signifies a safer feel to encourage people to stick with apple.

Online, you can find articles and research projects on the best marketing color.

Benefits

You must mask your product as a worthy purchase. You need to add enough benefits to make the game significantly easier, but not manipulable. An easy way to do this is expect you economy to be in a very high state, which is why games like Miners Haven use more than quintillion and A LOT more. This way, you offer purchases for billions of dollars, and the players see it as a big upgrade. Also, make it so you slow down, like slowly make money at the start, and it gets easier to make money as you go.

Well the problem with simulators nowadays is that they are basically all the same.

If you can do something with the entire concept;add unique features and twists, there is a chance your game can provide a very intense and enjoyable experience for players.

But I won’t recommend going for a simulator anyway, it may be too much effort for just a few minutes of gameplay, if you’re going for profit anyway.

Just go with your own unique theme, I have explained why it includes a ton of benefits for future projects and yourself.

I think any well-made game has the potential to be profitable, but certain types of games seem to bring in more profits than others. To me, simulators seem way overdone, and lots of people don’t really enjoy them that much anymore. I would try creating an original concept and put some hard work and effort into a unique game, then spend some Robux advertising it and paying for sponsorships. Because, in the end of the day, it’s the unique games that seem to be more popular and the devs of those games do make a lot of profit. This is just my thoughts and observations, so if any of this doesn’t make sense, correct me if you must

Those are probably still profitable. But like what a lots of people said, making a more original game would be a lots more funnier to play and it could help to get a really great community if you do one.

While “simulators” cover quite a large range of games, the games normally associated with the “simulator” genre on Roblox are really boring, although usually profitable, but will take a lot of effort to promote.

A unique and innovative game will be much easier to promote and make popular. It will also be more likely to keep it’s popularity.
