I really am considering creating an action-adventure game similar to Tomb Raider, Uncharted, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Assassins Creed games.
I find that the vast majority of games are catered towards a younger audience which don’t get me wrong make up a substantial amount of Roblox player base.
However, I’d like to launch a game which enables players to embark on their own server where they can interact with the games mechanics. It would be open world and there will be a series of main quests as well as side quests; There will be a area in your inventory where you can collect artefacts and treasures which is scattered around the map along with exploring tombs and temples.
Apologies for the really messy structure, I still haven’t had my cup of tea aha.
I’m looking forward for your input on my game idea and the concept of single player games as I’ve just described. I’d also appreciate if it would be profitable in the long run if executed successfully.
Most of the joy of Roblox is being able to play with your friends, although I’d love to make singleplayer games, that’s not what the platform is for and I don’t think it can actually get a large playerbase. I can Imagine something like Read Dead Redemption 2 Online getting popular, but the base game would be a lot harder to gather a fanbase for.
Single player games have worked in the past with the example of Pokemon Brick Bronze that was taken down by copyright infringements. This games was constantly on the front page.
As for the games that are western, Westbound and The Wild West they are mainly revolved around online multiplayer not single player stories/campaign.
I’ll take your views and opinions into account regardless.
Thank you.
Honestly roblox is not set for either multiplayer or singleplayer, it can be anything you want to create, and there are not many single player games on roblox with extensive story lines and that kind of stuff; if you have the resources to pull it off then I so go for it because till be worth it in the end
