Are there any free programs you prefer for making GFX?

Hello DevForum!

I love to make GFX, on Figma. (It’s just so shameful) But there are limited functions.

There are many programs as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator but the price tag is higher than the Robux amount of David Baszucki.
Are there any FREE programs that you prefer for making 2D GFX?

I want to create something better then this: (I made this yesterday)

But with figma i can’t!

I use now blender and Figma but I don’t think these are the good ones, I also dunno how to use blender.

I talk also about programs and software. Don’t tell me about websites like Photopea.

Gimp is little hard, it’s not like Figma where u can easy drag your boxes, rezise it and just make a cool logo or something. Inscape is just the same as Gimp

Isn’t DavinciPro a video editing software?

Vectr is good and has more functions than Figma. Only it is online :frowning:

Are there any specific problem with it being online? (not trying to be rude just saying)

I am a little autistic, with having a online program i dont have a tab that u can close and open. its just in my browser and not as program. (Sorry i dunno how to explain rlly)

I get exactly what you are saying, i also feel more comfortable having certain things as downloadable applications rather than having it on your browser

You can use paint.net it’s helpful, free and there are some cool functions you can use.

Exactly that. Probaly i need to create that program Xd

The problem is you have to download the dotPDN one instead of the Windows version…

Idk with paint.net its just always a little glitchy by making gfx on high quality

paint.net isn’t secure, meaning it could release private information such as card information, passwords, etc

I really never use it, just heard about it that it’s kinda free… So I’m not sure with that.

@VelcroDune @AridFights1

I edited the post, thats what i want to create but then better. Can’t really find out with wich program or so.
I hope it’s clearer now what i seek

gimp, inkscape and blender are the best choises you have if you want to compete with programs like adobe photoshop, cinema 4D or adobe illustrator. and yes, davinci is a video editing but i use it and it is free unless you’re editing footage that has an 8k resolution

In my opinion you should use Gimp.

That is completely false and unsubstantiated. Why do you think that? Are you talking about the unrelated website (actual install is at https://getpaint.net) that doesn’t have HTTPS?

paint.net is very good and easy to use like others have said. Davinci you could use but i don’t really know what you would use it for other than a trailer video.

@AridFights1 gave us the link to paint.net, but the thing is if you look on the address bar you would see that it says not secure, and when a website isn’t secure, you shouldn’t put information on there
