Are these GFX worthy to commission?

Hi, my name’s Saul and I’m new to creating GFX on photoshop.

I’ve made 2 GFX so far, 1 being with a free render that I found on a Discord server (credits to “trippieani’s maid” on Discord).

I’d love some feedback, critiques and advice. I also have a question, do you think this GFX could be worthy of selling? I want to start commissioning my work, but I’m also incredibly new to it. Thanks! !

I feel that something is off with the characters, could be the lighting. Still can be adjustable but still worthy to be commissioned.

Yeah the lighting in the render is too dim

Honestly, there are worthy to commission and might I add they are really cool! All I have to say feedback-wise is for the second picture. It looks a little wonky with the two different colored turtle necks and the baseball bat is really blurry. Also, what render engine do you use? Keep up the good work  :call_me_hand:

whats the render name. is it a website or an app

Hey! So overall, I’d suggest working on the renders themselves. Try expanding your skill by improving volumetrics, poses, character design, facial expressions, etc. As for the editing of the designs, I would recommend including CC (Color Correction) within the designs as it makes the render look as if it were to actually be in that photo and belongs in it. Along with that, try exploring new styles and find one that is unique to you, these images look as if multiple styles were shoved into one, which results in a messy appearance. I would also recommend working on the text. Try utilizing layerstyles, 3D text, and various effects like radial blur, for example. Finally, I would suggest you produce more work so if you were to do commissions, the client would have more understanding on the work you produce (e.i. create a portfolio/website). An additional tip I could provide you when tackling the idea of commissions, is pricing. Most beginner freelance designers don’t know how to market their work and how much they should be charging. Most would say, “Well, how much effort did you put into it?”, but that generally isn’t the best way to look at it. If not many people have seen you before and you’ve been under the radar, I’d suggest starting out by marketing yourself as very cheap and, when people begin to recognize you and you gain popularity and credibility, begin to work your prices up. That’s how I began and now, I couldn’t be any happier in terms of freelance.

Hope this helped!

I’d recommend practicing text editing. Text and the way it is presented is just as important as getting the render right.
