Are Trailers Worth It?

I’ve been thinking of making a trailer for my game for a little while now. Decent trailers take a lot of time to make.

Are there any benefits if I were to add one? Does it have an impact on players? Is it worth it?

They give a general idea of the game and if they’re interesting enough people may play your game just to see what the trailer has in game.

I have no clue. If it’s for role-playing purposes, you can take a risk, but if nobody likes it and doesn’t see it, well let’s just say that’s a few hours wasted.

I’d include a trailer in my game, so before people play they can see what the game is about, features, etc.

In my opinion, trailers are kind of pointless. I never watch trailers from games. If I want to know more about the game I look at the description or look the game up.

it would give players an idea of what they’re going to see in the game. arsenals trailer is pretty chaotic and the game also is.

Intro

So I think trailers have different levels of effectiveness. Personally under the right circumstances I believe they can help.

How they could help

So for games that cost Robux to play maybe people might want to see what the game is like before buying.

They could also be used to promote a new item, feature, event, etc like how arsenal does.

Where I don’t see them being effective

So I don’t believe if your game trailer doesn’t have any info about something new or if it’s not paid access and it doesn’t have a show case of its features. I don’t believe it’s effective or needed.

To sum it up

I believe under the right circumstances like if paid access, new features etc it is worth it otherwise it’s not worth it in my opinion. I hope this helped you out!..
