Sorry if this is on the wrong topic, I don’t browse the forum too often.
In many ways, this can be compared to drugs or alcohol, but I would like to know if it’s against TOU (Terms Of Use) to create an item that once consumed, changes visual effects for a certain amount of time. Thanks for reading.
The visual effect would be different colors, swirls and such. The object itself would be various food/drink items such as a banana but different color.
If its rotten food it should be fine, but if it has anything to do with consumption of substances (drugs) then it is heavily against ToS (Unless its telling you not to use them then I think it’s fine).
So, with that, this could very well be a coin-flip case.
I don’t see why changing the color of your viewpoint could be considered against moderation, but this could vary case to case. Each moderator likely would have a different perspective on what this means. So I’m going to give you some advice on these situations:
If you aren’t certain, then don’t do it. The swirls are the part that worries me, and as someone who is not even within the legal age to drink alcohol, and has never has (and hopefully never will) gotten drunk, I am clueless about the side effects this can bring.
That would be within TOU boundaries, as you are not showing the player taking drugs, they are clearly changing their visions, and this is an intended side effect by the user. You should be in the clear here.
Just a friendly reminder that context matters in moderation. Visually altering effects aren’t what Roblox doesn’t like, it’s the concept of alcoholic substances and drugs.
