Are we allowed to flag posts for breaking chains / custom rules?

This post is only concerning #lounge and i’m not referring any other category during this post.

So commonly in lounge we have forum games, funny chain posts etc. And many of these posts have their own custom rule set for how one must respond to the post.

However, are we allowed to flag posts for breaking one of these rules / breaking the chain for the purpose of wanting to keep it clean and organised? Because some people who i’m not gonna name (you know who you are) sometimes break chains for fun, disrespecting international lounge standards!

IDK really. I’d think so, but at the same time, you can ignore them as well and continue from the previous valid reply. Unless if it’s absolutely necessary (like three posts like that in a row), don’t flag them, just ignore them.

However, I do think that it can be flagged for being off-topic. Technically, it doesn’t really apply in the #lounge as it’s a fun and games place, but it kind of does at the same time.

Nah. I don’t think that something as stupid as that should be flagged down. I’ve seen dumber posts up there than the forum games that never go down :woman_shrugging:

I guess I don’t rlly want the feature of the flag system as like a punishment, but it would be heavily appreciate if we were able to request the deletion of these posts, and currently the only way to do that is to flag them.

No because it’s a needless waste of time for DET to review these flags. They have more important things to do. If you flag them you’ll most likely get feedback to stop.

People being off-topic in #lounge:off-topic threads is essentially the purpose of the category, there isn’t much you can do if a chain gets broken.
