Hey! I have been wondering about this interesting question since premium payouts were a thing. So you guys know how games that are paid access will not be given the incentive to have premium payouts. Well people can bypass this. They can make the game free and join able. But as soon as the player joins, they will be told that the game is paid access and they would have to buy a developer product to continue playing. Is this a good tactic to use if the game is in beta and you still wanna have premium payouts.
I believe one can do it, but the question is whether or not its right. Personally, if the game is in beta, you should not be worrying about making money in any way. You can make it paid access, but I wouldn’t put a paywall if it’s free to play for anyone just to earn than premium payout. The point of a beta is to show players an almost ready product to where you can touch it up based on feedback. Hope this helps.
