Hello,
So I know that you can’t sell your game to other developers since there is no official system for it.
So I was asking myself if I have a good running game and thinking it will lose a lot of money which will cost me a lot of money.
That I can just shut down the game forever so I will not lose money since I don’t have to renocate it and pay developers that are working for me. (Ofcourse I will pay them and discuss with them if it is a good idea to even shut it down.)

I don’t see why not?
Perhaps you could elaborate why you think a game may become costly to run? Unless you’re actively paying developers more money than the game brings in, I can’t imagine how you’re losing money by keeping a game open.

I mean if the game is getting less players and not popular anymore and you have 20 developers working you still need to pay them a lot and you’ll get nothing thats why.
I think it makes sense in this case to abandon development more costly than it’s worth, but you don’t necessarily need to shut the game down, which I assume you mean close the game entirely.
I don’t know what contracts you have with these (hypothetical?) developers, but I would assume you could just pay them for the work they’ve done and then take them off of the project.
They are not hypothetically and I will not shut the game down if they want to continue working on it. I don’t think the game will get low player ratio. (I will not spoil anything about the game…) But if I do lose more money than I make I will need to shut it down or pay the developers less which isn’t really fair for them.
And they get paid every month based on what they do.
But the main thing is that im allowed to shut it down forever.
How can a game cause you to loose ROBUX??? Your not paying for anything besides maybe developers. I don’t get how developers would be an expense that causes you to shut down since developers normally work for either a set price or a percent of earnings.
Nothing stops you from shutting your game down or just abandoning it.
Yes there is nothing that can stop you
Yes you can shut down the game. Why not continue developing it by yourself or with other people that are more cheap? (or less people)
Frankly, you should focus on using your money wisely. It’s good that you pay them for the work that they do, but you don’t need to spread yourself thin to the point that you feel the need to shut the game down because it’s not paying for itself. You could negotiate with your developers to pay them a percentage of the game’s profits rather than set amounts; they get paid more if the game is doing well, but you don’t need to commit more than you can currently afford.
You’re allowed to shut it down (again, as in closing the game off to players), but I would say that it would be ill-advised against just ceasing development.

Obviously if the game is doing poorly you can decide to shut the whole thing down. You don’t have an obligation to the developers that you hire, as long as you pay them for what they did until that point of course.
