Are your visits/revenues always lowest in the month of October? That has been the trend these past two years for me. Kind of depressing! Ha-ha
Do you have a Halloween event? If not then that’s probably why.
Also I don’t think this is the correct category for your question.
Yes. Same with a few other devs I asked.
I managed to get some data for about the 105th spot for both yesterday and compared to 2 months ago (on computer TE only).
The week previous to October 30th is about a ~20% decrease in revenue from the week previous to August 30th.
This isn’t indicative to how much % revenues would be down for all games on average, but happens to be for at least around the 105th spot area.
Nope. As a matter of fact they stay almost much the same even tho my game is a horror game. It might be the fact that I have a very limited amount of payed Robux things in my game.
My stats are the best in October, but that’s probably because my most succesfull game so far is a Halloween event remake.
This thread doesn’t belong in this category. This would be more suited for #development-discussion. You can move the thread by clicking the pencil beside the post title.
I don’t have a successful game that I’m running right now but I generally think that the lack of a Halloween event or simply that kids are out Trick-or-Treating plays a factor in your game statistics during Halloween. I guess that’s an interesting find though.
I don’t have enough data to say, but I’d imagine this time of year could be especially profitable for people who are more entrepreneurial with their halloween marketing.
The entire September/October time for me has been weak three years in a row.
OP is a new member and doesn’t have post permissions there (fyi we don’t have reply permissions there either.)
I thought New Members finally gained access to Development Discussion - I got this impression from when people were posting for beta access while the thread was still in Development Discussion and not Inception. Though this post is still better suited to that category, thanks for letting me know.
It dipped down slightly, but not a huge significant drop.
If the category has a lock icon next to it, New Members can’t see it.
If it has a lock next to it that means not everyone can see it. It might be either New Members+ or Members+. If it doesn’t have a lock that means everyone can see it, including people not logged in. I, as a new member, have access to several locked categories.
Seems like users always go inactive around this time until winter break hits, and then sometimes they don’t come back till like February.
Just what i’ve noticed.
Here in the UK, we start a new year of school in September, so people in the UK may not have time due to them starting a new year and adjusting but I can’t speak for everyone.
It’s the same in the US.
not for me, it went up +40K
Christmas will always be the highest few days of revenue per play and when kids go back to school it will always be the lowest. There are very very few exceptions to that rule
