Area-47 Game Rules
While playing Area-47, players are required to follow the rules as to not ruin the fun for other users. We have an active moderation team which is always handling reports sent in by players.
We do not offer any form of refunds if moderation action is taken on your account for violating our rules. Follow the rules and play fair.

These rules are up to date as of March 15, 2025. When rules are updated, it may take some time for this post to reflect those changes.
Rules
No Abusing Alarms / Voice Announcements

Repeatedly activating/sounding the alarms as a nuisance

Spamming / Sending troll or random announcements
Punishment Hierarchy: 3 Warnings → Kick → 1 Day Ban
No Abusing the Report System
Abusing the report button takes away time from our team that could be used dealing with real problems. Only make a report if you see a user actively breaking the rules.
Punishment hierarchy: Warning → Kick → 1 Day Ban
No Advertising
Advertising in Area-47 is prohibited. “Advertising” means directing players to play another game, bypassing the filter and sending links off-site, or anything to have a player purchase a product you or other groups have created.

No Breaching SCPs
Purposely breaching SCPs is prohibited on all teams except for Chaos Insurgency and Class-D. SCPs are allowed to breach other SCPs, SCP-096 player can breach the SCP-049 NPC for example.
Intentionally making recontainment efforts harder is also not allowed, this may include, but is not limited to:

Intentionally leading SCPs further away from their designated cells/sectors.

Intentionally making recontainment harder for players.
-
Making an effort to Breach SCPs as a Foundation player.
Keep in mind that SCP-131, 999 can be breached.

Punishment hierarchy varies based on rule broken. Ask a moderator for more information, if necessary.
No Bypassing of the Termination System
When you cross the line as a Class-D, you’re given a termination tag, allowing you to be terminated by foundation members.
Some examples of bypassing include but not limited to:

Avoiding the termination tag by abusing a building glitch.
-
Avoiding the termination tag by abusing an in-game glitch.
-
Avoiding the termination tag by the use of exploits.
Punishment hierarchy: Warning → Kick → 1 Day Ban
No Camping
Camping is considered camping when you are found to be (but not limited to):
-
Killing players who have not attempted to defend themselves first.
-
Killing players trying to leave the spawn without giving them a chance to survive (Camping the spawn exit).
-
Killing SCP actors who have not attempted to defend themselves first in their spawns.
-
Killing Class D in CDCZ beyond the termination line as a SCP actor.
-
Being in a sewer tunnel as FP or shooting at CI in close proximity to the tunnel entrance to prevent them from going inside.

Killing CI inside vents, at the vents exit points (unless there is a specific reason to be near them). This includes demonstrating that you are ready to kill CI as soon as they exit the vents.

No Class - D Pushing
When Class-D cross the termination line in the CDCZ, they are able to be terminated. Some players use this to their advantage to abuse their power in the game.
Here are some examples of Class-D pushing but not limited to:

Detaining Class-D across the termination line (also a violation of tool abuse).

Pushing Class-D across the termination line.
-
Verbally or physically forcing them to cross the termination line.
Punishment hierarchy: Warning → Kick → 1 Day Ban
No Command Abuse
When playing as a gamepass role like The Administrator, Site Director, or O5 Council, you are given special commands that other users do not have. Abusing these commands is prohibited.
Punishment hierarchy: 2 Kicks → 1 Day Ban
No Continuous Infractions
Accumulation of Minor Infractions
We try to make the game safe and welcoming for everyone. And we strongly discourage players with heavy infractions from continuing to do the same. Therefore, once you have reached a certain amount of infractions, you will be removed from the game.
Punishment hierarchy: 3 Days (5 Minor Infractions) / 1 Week (10 Minor Infractions) / 1 Month (15 Minor Infractions) / Permanent Ban (20 Minor Infractions)
Continuous Infractions
This rule is not much different, except that once you receive 5 bans, you will be permanently removed from the game.

No Disrupting Gameplay
No one likes their gameplay to be ruined and no one likes to be annoyed! However some people find enjoyment annoying players and disrupting gameplay or stirring up unneeded drama. Below are some examples of disrupting gameplay, but not limited to:-
Jumping on player’s heads after being asked/told to stop.

Intentionally annoying players via using shield or other tools (the targetted user must ask the abuser to stop).

Ruining other player’s RP after being asked/told to stop.
-
Encouragement of rule violations (telling players to break the rules, etc).
-
Baiting players into committing rule violations (threatening to break the rules but having no intention in actually doing so, etc).
-
Arguing with players in the radio / refusing to stop arguing after a moderator has informed them to cease (radio or not).
-
Intentionally using absurd accessories to interfere with roleplay or to have a combat advantage.
-
Players should not gain an advantage over players in combat by using game mechanics not designed for this purpose (safe zones, GOC alliances, etc).
Note: We do not punish the use of Code Black by The Administrator for “annoyance” purposes, Code Black may be activated at the discretion of the current Administrator, even if they activate it to simply be annoying.
Punishment hierarchy: 2 Warnings → 2 Kicks → 1 Day Ban
No Ban Evasion
Using an alternative account to bypass or evade an active ban is prohibited. If you are banned, do not create another account to join the game, this will cause your main account to be permanently banned.
Reminder: We do not offer refunds under any circumstances for moderation actions taken on your account.

No Loopholing
Using "flaws" or making drastic assumptions about the rules in order to bypass them is forbidden.Punishment hierarchy varies.
No Glitching
Using unfair methods to obtain an advantage over other players is a violation of our rules.Here are some examples (but not limited to) of glitching:

Glitching through doors.

Glitching through walls.

Lag switching.
-
Using glitches for player advantage.
-
Getting outside of the map via use of the SCP-173 ClickTeleport feature.
-
Intentionally using SCP-999 for combat purposes/making yourself effectively in godmode.

Using certain glitches to remove your username from above your head.
Punishment hierarchy: 2 Kicks → 3 Day Ban
No Misinformation
All community members are expected to engage in honest and respectful interactions. The spreading of misinformation or any misleading content is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, the following behaviors:

Misrepresentation of Self or Others

Spreading False Information

Defamation
Punishment hierarchy: Warning → Kick → 1 Week → Permanent Ban
No Radio Misuse
Do not use the radio inappropriately to bypass, spam, or disrespect other players.Some examples of radio misuse include but not limited to:

Spamming.

Discriminatory speech (breaking Roblox community rules).

Bypassing (breaking Roblox community rules).

No Spamming
Do not repeatedly spam the radio, spam the chat, or flood the radio.Some examples of spamming include but not limited to:
-
Radio spamming.
-
Radio flooding.
-
Spamming chat with the same message / excessive messaging.
-
Sending copy and pastes several times even after typing something else.
Punishment hierarchy: 2 Kicks → 1 Day Ban
No Staff Impersonation
The following does not include all examples of impersonation.-
Do not attempt to impersonate Bulk Games Moderators. This can include wearing any sort of clothing that identifies you as a “Moderator” or “Staff Member”.

Do not attempt to impersonate Bulk Games staff. This can include wearing any sort of clothing that identifies you as a “Staff Member”.

Do not attempt to impersonate Bulk Games development team. This can include wearing any sort of clothing that identifies you as a “Developer” or “Staff Member”.

Do not pretend to run commands.

Do not pretend to issue infractions.

Do not state yourself as a Bulk Games Staff member (Developer, Moderator, etc).

No Tool Abuse
Do not abuse the tools you are given in the game. The list of ways to abuse tools is so long that it is omitted here, so ask a moderator if you are unsure about something.Punishment hierarchy: Warning → Kick → 1 Day Ban
No Troll Accounts
Creating accounts on Roblox with the sole intent to disrupt roleplay, harass others, or engage in general trolling within Area 47. This policy is in place to maintain a safe and enjoyable roleplay environment. Examples of prohibited actions include but are not limited to:-
Creating an account to disrupt roleplay for other players.

Creating an account to harass or annoy other players.
-
Creating any account with the intent to violate Area 47’s guidelines.

No Usage of Leaked Internal Documentation

No XP Farming
Do not attempt to bypass the AFK Timeout system for XP. This system is in place so you are required to play and learn the game to level up and unlock access to more team ranks and tools.
Some examples of XP Farming but not limited to:

Using auto-clickers/spamming tools to trick AFK timeout systems.
-
Remaining in the same place for 10 minutes without any visible movement.
-
Standing idle on the border of the map outside of the facility for over 2 minutes.
