ArePaidRandomItemsRestricted questions

Theres a game im making that respects the ArePaidRandomItems Policy, but theres a part im not sure of, the whole point of this api is to not allow the players within certain countries to not be able to buy in-game currency using robux/money if that in-game currency can be use for random items right? my question is what if the player just wants to gift the in-game currency to another player? would that still restricts the player from buying/gifting it to another?, technically hes not buying the cash to use it for randomitem because his only goal is to gift it to another player leaving him out of all the chances to use that cash for randomitem since the cash never reached him

if your game includes a system where you pay to get a random unspecified item (e.g. you pay 100 robux and you get a random skin) then it counts as paid random items i hope this helped

if im not mistaken, i heard that buying ingame cash is also not allowed in certain countries if that ingame cash can be used to buy a crate that gives random item, thats why im trying to know if buying the ingame cash as a gift to another player also counts as breaking the arepaidrandomitems policy

ok so this applies if you use currency that you pay for with robux to get random items or if you straight up buy a dev product to receive a random item so lets say you have gems that can be obtained with robux (whether thats the only way or an alternative) then that will fall under this description the player can **not** interact with paid random item generators, either via in‑experience currency bought with Robux or Robux directly i apologize for not being clear

allowed: spending currency that can only be obtained by playing
not allowed: paying robux to get a random item, using currency that can be obtained with robux to get a random item

so if a certain player from that restricted country plays my game, all i have to do is restrict that player from buying ingame cash because that cash can be used to buy crate that generate random item, but they are still allowed to buy the crate itself using ingame cash they grinded without spending robux.

last question, can that player in a restricted country buy ingame cash directly to their friends? or that still falls under the restriction?

if you mean gifting a friend currency that is allowed

they are allowed to buy cash, they just cant buy a loot box with it

oh, so they can buy ingame cash using robux, but wont be able to use it to buy crates that generate random item, so the whole point of arepaidrandomitems policy is not to restrict players from risking irl money to get random item, but getting the crate itself?

the policy prevents players from spending real money for a chance to win something, aka gambling/loot boxes

i see, but what if the player didnt spend irl money to get the ingame cash, would they be able to interract with the random item generator?, lets say theres option to buy ingame cash using irl money, but the player didnt spend any money to get the ingame cash, would they be able to interract with random item generator, aka crates and lootboxes?

if they didnt spend money to get it but there is an option spend money to get it then no they will not be able to interact with them because it would still count as spending money for it since roblox has no way of knowing how the player got the currency
