The Argon plugin isn’t built very well

There are also various issues with the development of your plugin itself. My first gripe is the awful UI; it’s not just how it looks, it’s how it’s built. The issue with disproportionate and muddy UI is that it takes longer to navigate and read, which creates more friction. Also, it’s not declarative, and instead is pre-made:

When opposed to Rojo, you can see there are no pre-made UI objects and it is instead created declaratively; this is very important if you want to easily manage and update interface controls. I think it’s also worth noting that an unprofessional UI and branding turns a lot of people away since it just looks less functional (purely psychological).

As for declarative UI, it does matter. Not only will it have better code, but UI responsiveness is more likely to feel, well, responsive.

Late reply, but this is not a very good mindset to have. You can make good/intuitive/responsive UI with templates too; same as you can make horrible/unintuitive/unresponsive UI with declarative.

The way you make things doesn’t (and shouldn’t!) matter, since most end users won’t care how it’s built.

UI frameworks also add an unnecessary learning curve and complexity, they take quite the time to learn and often cause more issues than they solve.
