Hello! I had a question for fellow graphic designers. For logos, what is considered a reasonable range of price?
Before I dropped logo designing (literally don’t remember why but I put a lot of time and work into my logos) some time ago, I had my price set at 1k RBX per logo. I had a decent amount of customer flow (around 4-7k per week I suppose?) along with many inquiries. But in the past, I’ve seen logo designers with prices up in the double digits. Would anything over 1K be too much, too less? Or is there no such thing?
I am not specialised in logo designing, but I can give you my personal opinion:
Depends on who you’re addressing to. Tons of devs can afford prices between 1k-2k if the logo is well made. Note there are also developers or smaller groups that don’t afford it.
If you’re addressing to bigger groups or developers with a moderate budget, I don’t think prices around 1k-2k are high for a well-made unique logo.
1K converts to 3.5 USD. Are you sure you want to spend hours of work for $3.50? Minimum wage is at least $11 an hour. This is around 3.2 thousand robux an hour.
All depends on the quality and the time it took you to make the logo, furthermore you should price your work by what you personally think it’s worth, if someone doesn’t agree with your pricing, that’s on them and they should simply move on.
They’re talking about DevEx rates, which is usually what you use when converting robux prices to USD (or any other real currency).
You should be more attentive when making these sorts of posts instead of instantly jumping to ‘correcting’ someone
It’s not good for you.
In business, there’s two path you can take to obtain a big success.
Either hit the highest quality level possible, or have the cheapest and fastest product possible.
You could either turn it luxurious or industrialized.
Putting the price up for an average work isn’t exactly the best way to profit.
It’s very likely that you’ll not be able to DevEx commission robux, since most of that Robux used to pay developers is bought elsewhere than directly earned, especially for starters.
However this proves @Qinrir ‘s point less valid even more, if 100K Robux can’t even be DevExed into US$ 350, then why would it ever be worth US$ 1200?
Dark market’s pricing is at US$ 1~3/1K which means there’s a big chance that commission Robux worth even less than game income.
The trick is, make 1 hours into 40 minutes, then 25…
Raising pricing is not constructive, OG could turn up efficiency and earn way more, while having customers very happy.
It’s the best shot for every serious commission developer.
Whilst this is true, it does heavily depend on who you’re being commissioned by, many of the rather big or successful/established logo artists I see tend to base their prices off of DevEx rates.
So I personally would just do the same.
Yes, usually the buyers claim for example 1000 Robux to worth either 12 USD or 3.5 USD, but in reality for many commission developers, they cannot turn their Robux into USD even at DevEx rate.
My point is that Robux is not a convenient nor stable currency for commissions.
You should just ask for 5~15 USD depending on the difficulty, and then you’ll profit a lot on Fiverr.
