Asking for feedback on a game in which is in an early demo

Hi, Im Sonicmerz, i’m a developer for “1tchy’s Official Group”.
I recently remade a game from the group called “Escape the Dungeon!” which we called “Escape the Remake”. I wanted to ask if anyone could maybe try this game out and leave some feedback on it, and maybe also find some bugs. I will take any criticism seriously and try to answer your questions.

(Keep in mind that this is an early demo, some content may not exist yet)

Bugs:

  • Head was a rectangle
  • Forcefield when you respawn lets you walk on lava (hopefully not intentional)

Critique:
There is not much to see. I assume you are looking for feedback on the general idea of a platformer-type game. It kept me mildly entertained for a minute or two. I recommend you come up with a creative spin on the concept, as people may find your game pretty boring. If you gave me the choice to play Speed Run 4 or Escape the Remake, I would pick Speed Run 4. That is not to comment on the game’s state, but Escape the Remake lacks originality.

I think it is good that you are seeking feedback this early. I would advise you not to stress over making Escape the Remake unless you can give me a reason to play it. Otherwise, it is your typical platformer.

If you don’t care about your game’s success and just want to make it anyway, then by all means keep going. Let this be your passion project, and learn lots of programming and building skills from it.
