I am doing a personality test that is testing the Barnum effect. I am asking them about their personality and only recording how accurate they think the result is, is this allowed?
That seems creepy recording someone
By recording I mean writing down, I am not recording what they are doing, that would be very creepy
That’s still very weird I dont know anyone who would take notes on a stranger.
@BaggyChris had said it. It’s very creepy to write down info about a stranger, so I advise you not.
… is this optional or forced upon joining your game?
Sort of like those questions they ask you at the beginning of a pokemon game to see what starter pokemon fits you, like “what would you do at a party? A: Talk with your friends B: Dance C: Sit in the corner” ?
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, I don’t understand why everyone else reacted like this. As long as the questions aren’t specific and personal, there’s probably nothing wrong with it.
There are rules against collecting personal information. But, it sounds like you are just collecting a score/opinion of sorts (?) about how accurate the test was. I can’t see where that would be a problem, especially if you don’t record anything that ties the responses back to individuals.
That said… it may be difficult to assure Roblox and participants that only the test vs reality delta is being captured. Will prob have to be careful about how you present it all in order to avoid any perception that you may be doing something off-color and bring a bunch of extra scrutiny upon yourself.
- Do not ask for or collect (or allow the transfer between players in your game) any personally identifiable information (PII) . For example, you should not ask for a player’s first and last name, age, home or physical address, something that contains a person’s image or voice (such as a photograph, video or audio file), social security number, passport number (or national identity number), phone number or email address (or other forms of online contact information).
Hmm interesting I think I got it, they won’t be collected, and the questions can be asked with very trivial questions, yea that should be the best idea thanks guys!
