"Asset Creation Failed" when I try to upload a 30s video

I’m trying to upload 2 videos on the self-serve video uploading on creator hub. And I keep getting an error that says “Asset Creation failed. Please try again later”, I tried again 24 hours later and the same issue occurred.

I thought at first it might be because the video is maybe 31 seconds, but its not - it’s 30 seconds exactly.

I’m using Google Chrome.

Hi there! Does this bug still occur if you upload the video via the Asset Manager in Studio?

Upon investigating the supplied file, we believe we’ve identified two things that cause this issue - as well as workarounds you can use in the meantime:

  • Roblox Studio: Shorten the video file’s name
  • Creator Dashboard: Shorten the video file’s name + re-process the video to result in a smaller filesize

If these workarounds do not work, please let us know. We will also update the thread once we fix these issues.

Uploading Video always results in "Asset creation failed. Please try again later."

Managed to work in Roblox studio with the shortened name - thanks for your help @phri !
