Asset fails are cached between run sessions, but asset loads are not

When using run mode or play solo mode in Studio:

  • when assets fail to load, it is cached between run sessions
  • when assets load successfully, it is not cached between run sessions

I would expect either asset fails to not be cached, or both fails and successes to be cached.


This bug happens every time an asset fails to load in a run mode session. The failure persists to every following session.


This bug happens in studio on the main website at any place.


This bug has been happening for at least three months.


This is unwanted behavior because asset fails caused by temporary bad internet or stopping run mode while assets are loading means that Studio must be restarted in order to fix the assets, despite the fact that they would work fine if they would load on the next run session. This is made even worse if the place is a Team Create place, as those can take a few minutes to load.

Yeah. I can confirm this behaviour. It is an exceptionally annoying thing especially when trying live patches (Iā€™m that kind of guy)
