Assets appear to fail to visually load on my Roblox and Studio, and this has only recently occurred when I switched ISPs to Starlink. While Starlink is great on other applications, and works fine. For some reason, assets both in Experiences and the studio don’t load visually on the client very well. While in the studio, I can still modify properties of invisible and partially loaded assets.
With my previous ISP (Farmside), while being extremely slow, it still allowed me to load in all assets (After 20- 30 minutes).
I have cleared my cache multiple times, and I am connected via Ethernet.
Sometimes, if I am lucky, after rejoining the experience/studio multiple times, it will visually load all assets.
Below is a picture of my Studio being partially loaded.
(Apologies for my poor report, I’ve never used bug reports before)
Can you press view then output and show a screenshoot of the errors to help the roblox staff investigating?
No errors related to meshes, textures or anything failing to load except old audio.
Thank you for the report.
Can you please collect logs when the problem happens?
Here is how you can collect logs: https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016022492-How-to-Retrieve-Roblox-Studio-Logs
Thank you
I’ll upload my logs later today; however, I’ve noticed my studio has started to reliably load in assets now.
Due to the small population of my country, we do not have a high number of Starlink users, so it’s unlikely that the network is congested. So I would presume it’s some sort of packet loss occurring due to the way Roblox loads assets in. I’ve also noticed on other networks (Fibre), which have filters and security devices, often assets also fail to load. Point is, I assume that Roblox and Studio both don’t check to see what assets have been loaded in and then attempt to reload assets that fail to load? As it’s the textures and physical meshes failing to load, which means it’s having to grab that from a server.
Roblox seems to still fail to load occasionally and or take a long time. So the issue is still occurring, just not as often on Studio anymore.
Apologies if this may not seem relevant. I’m just trying to think of the possible ways that could be causing the problem, as I know that Satellite Internet behaves slightly differently from standard options.
