Assistance regarding previous account

Hey there, everyone!

I’m just writing a quick post to ask for additional and a larger range of opinions and ideas regarding an issue I am having. A couple years back in 2019, I was a victim of a data breach which resulted in majority of my accounts at the time being compromised. Not only did this include my ROBLOX account, but the email also linked at the time to the ROBLOX account.

Further onwards to this year after countless efforts and years of attempting to regain these accounts, I have managed to get the email back in which I believed was last used on the ROBLOX account in question. I have 2 step verification emails, username change emails and password change emails all ranging from the years of 2018 up to 2021.

Although unfortunately, I do not have any billing receipts as I didn’t “believe” in spending real world currency on ROBLOX — (I have now changed my mind, cut me some slack haha)

To cut a long story short; I have attempted all options on the ROBLOX website to reset passwords and what not but the account in question does not show up as listed to this email. I feel as though that the email was changed when my data was breached and thus resulting in the inability to reset passwords.

I’ve attempted numerous and countless times to get into contact with ROBLOX support and regain my account. However, each attempt has been useless regardless of me forwarding previous emails, sending screenshots of these emails and what not. Of course due to the time gap, I’ve gotten onto more recent devices and back then, I somewhat accepted the fact that I had lost this account and didn’t save any of my screenshots from owning this account; therefore I only have the existing two step emails, username change emails and password change emails.

Does anyone have any idea as to how I could combat this issue? I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Hi

So, let me understand this.

Your account and the email associated with your Roblox account both got compromised, and you were only able to get your email back, but it longer is associated with your Roblox account? (Probably the hacker removed it from your Roblox account)

Well, I am unsure of if it is still associated with the email or not.

I have gotten the email back and it has previous records of the account although no emails informing me of a email change. The idea that I had a 2 step verification notification from 2021 is giving me hope it is still linked to the Roblox account in question;

Although when doing the “forgot password” system on Roblox, it only shows me two other accounts in which I own, not the one I need. Therefore, I am unsure of if it is still linked.

Not username change sorry, email change. Slight error in that response haha.

Got it.

I once put myself in the same situation as you to see if they’ll get my alt account back.

I had email1@gmail.com associated with my alt account, then I removed it and added email2@gmail.com, and I contacted them from email1@gmail.com saying I was hacked, and the hacker changed my email address to a new one, and I asked them to secure my alt account with the old previous email that used to be associated with my alt account. They accepted it and said ‘Your account has been secured with the email you’re using to contact us’

This isn’t guaranteed to work for you, but it’ll probably work, as the email was used to be associated with your account.

Just go to Roblox Support, enter your account’s username, enter the email that you got back (the email that used to be associated with your Roblox account, not any email).

Then, select the device on which you play Roblox, and categorize your form under Account Hacked Or Can’t Log In > Account Hacked

In description of issue, tell them that your account and email associated with it were both compromised, but you’re able to get the email back, and that the email seems to be no longer associated with your Roblox account as you can’t reset your account’s password.

Then, ask them kindly to secure your Roblox account with the email you’re using to contact them. They’ll probably accept it and you’ll get your account back.

Again, this isn’t guaranteed to work, but this is how it worked for me. It may work for you too.

Best of luck!

I appreciate the help and your time massively,
I’ll give it another go and let you know if I have any positive results.

I have done something like this in the past, although they had just stopped replying to the email thread. Hoping for a better result this time.

Good luck with it!

You can also send them links to accessories you bought on your account and some personal info (Date of birth, theme, language, gender of the account, account location) to prove your ownership of the account.

as in roblox catalog accessories? i believe you can get your account back by just telling them the receipt number of whatever you bought

yes. Links to any catalog item you bought on your account. Shirts, pants, accessories, etc.

I believe so too, but I’m not too sure if it really works.
