Audio Distribution broken

I made an audio in Roblox. The audio passed the sound effect classifiers and moderations. As you can see in the video below, it is approved. But when I try to distribute it on Creator Store, the audio keeps turning to private.

proof video

I tried to enable the distribution after disabling all my website plugins, it still didnt work. I seriously cant understand what’s the problem with my audio distribution.

  • At the last part of the video, the button stayed blue. However when I checked the audio it was still private and the button changed to gray again

Expected behavior

The Audio distribution button should stay blue when I refresh the page & the audio should be public.

Hey there! Thanks for your report. Do you mind sharing the asset id that you’re trying to distribute?

Separately, in your video, it seems that you’re refreshing the page fairly quickly after hitting “Save changes”. There is a notification that should pop up that confirms your changes have been successfully saved (see below image).

I don’t see that notification in your video, so I’d recommend you to re-try saving the audio’s distribution status and wait for that notification. It will either be a success or error message.

Thanks again! I’ll monitor this thread for your response.

Sorry for the late response!!

Here is the video

It shows that the audio was saved successfully, except that it wasnt.

Your bug report did let us know that we are potentially surfacing the wrong distribution UI to users – this is what we are actively investigating.

If you could provide us a screenshot of your Network > Response tab, specifically for the line that looks like requirements?MarketplaceType.... You can more easily filter for this line by searching publishing. We’d be able to validate that the asset should be able to be distributed from this.

i hope this is what you are looking for

@TheESPPlayerSeemoney can you send me the url of that request? You can right click the requirements?Marketplace... part → Copy → Copy URL

Thanks, and as a sanity check, does the issue happen when you use the user id 2913574516 (the owner of the audio), 1637810579 (the user id linked to your devforum profile), or both? Since I haven’t checked whether you gave permissions to another account of yours for this audio

My devforum user is unrelated to the audio. The problem happens in the Owner account and I didn’t give the audio permission to anyone.

I’m struggling with the same problem.

In the video, the second part shows my requirements file (link below), and as you can see at the end, there are no website plugins. I also tried using both Chrome and Edge, but it still doesn’t work.

Hi again - thanks for the additional details! We are looking into this and noticed that the uploading user account has not actually onboarded to distribute audio. If you go through the onboarding process here, I believe that would fix your issue: https://create.roblox.com/settings/eligibility/audio-distribution

Let me know!

Same note to you - it looks like the uploading user account has not actually onboarded to distribute audio. If you go through the onboarding process here, I believe that would fix your issue: https://create.roblox.com/settings/eligibility/audio-distribution

Let me know!

I was already approved for distribution. But the odd thing is, that I didn’t have to click checkboxes or any buttons to be approved at first. I was already approved.

And it seem to be no methods to go back to the page where the checkboxes are there, I am basically stuck on the approved page while not being approved.

Thanks for letting me know about your experience on the Audio Distribution onboarding page. Also, apologies for the delay in my responses; please rest assured that we are looking into this!

To unblock you though, I would recommend making another account and seeing if you can reproduce the issue there. This issue seems isolated to this particular user account (and perhaps a handful of other ones, as noted in this thread) since I have not been able to reproduce it myself, but I will be investigating regardless.

Thank you for your response!

And there currently seems to be no methods to make this particular account be eligible for audio distribution, so I will set your response as the solution. Again, thank you for the response.
