Hey, fellow dev! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I am a sound designer with a passion for game audio and I want to help YOU! Sometimes game audio can be difficult to get right, and without a sound designer on your team it can be even harder; so what can you do to get the best results, with what you’ve got?

What websites do you recommend for finding sounds?

Hi, Jandel! So, there are a lot of really awesome websites out there…

  • As a sound designer, I love to use SoundSnap.
  • ASoundEffect as mentioned in my video is another really great place where you can find high-end audio and also very affordable and very good sounds. They have a huge library of resources.
  • Pond5 is also really awesome.
  • Sonniss also have a free GDC game audio archive. Each year they give away thousands of dollars worth of sound effects for FREE in celebration of the Game Developers Conference.

Of course, there are many more website so make sure to keep searching and I am sure you’ll find the best sounds for your games!
