Audio Moderation

Hello, I’m kind of new to the devforum and I’m not sure if this is in the right category or even the right place to be saying this in but I was trying to upload music for my game :

the audio got removed and my account got a warning but I still don’t understand why, I contacted support and they said the audio was inappropriate and that it was rightfully deleted. I’m just wondering if anyone can give me a good reason why it was

Unfortunately, I am not able to hear anything when hitting play. :slightly_frowning_face:

I could hear it.
It is like a space themed thing from what it sounded like. I loved it, it seems like some nice background music to a space themed game. I have no idea why this would get moderated.

Was anything in the song stolen from somewhere? That might be the issue. If not, then I have no idea. Hopefully the issue gets fixed though. This song is great!

When appealing or contacting the customer service about such query, they pretty much never give in and stubbornly hold on to their made moderation actions.

When listening to the audio (as a human), I could not hear any explicit language or vocals to begin with. The audio isn’t immensely loud, so that can’t be it either.
Assuming they - as per usual - did not give a thorough ‘warn reason’, you’re probably left guessing why you’re warned in the first place. Only thing I can think of is that it’s copyrighted, but no idea where it’s from or if that’s even the case. Again, I don’t see (or hear) anything ‘inappropriate’.
I doubt the tones that sounds somewhat like morse play any role at all.

Not sure if it’s worth uploading the file again, as it might’ve been caught in an automatic removal. It could also be removed again and further moderation may be taken :grimacing:

Assuming that you attempt to re-upload (as @milanomaster suggested), be sure to change the audio up a bit. At 18% volume (on a low-volume speaker), it was pretty loud. Maybe try turning it down, and if you need it loud, just turn the volume up in-game.

I ran some loudness analysis and turns out the audio is compensating -1.6 dB on most platforms. This is not enough to actually determine that the sound was loud. Therefore it wouldn’t be the loudness.

I changed the audio around and still found no results of the cause of it. Your best bet is try to contact this group:

I finally figured it out. It’s an audio that is copyrighted.

Why didnt they just say it was copyrighted and give me a refund like they usually do?

I thought it was a bit too loud too, i’ll try it

That could be a mishap, I don’t know exactly why it was labeled inappropriate.
