Hello, I have been having an audio issue on my friend’s game since the audio update earlier this year and this error always pops up when I start up his game on Studio:
Failed to load sound rbxassetid://166608745: Unable to download sound data
I’ve also researched a bit about this and apparently, March 22 of this year was the deadline for fixing this problem. However I couldn’t fix it during that time due to school, so I would like to know if there’s a way to fix this if possible.

Does your friend own the audio? That issue is caused often due to someone not owning the audio (a new system was put in place where if you don’t own the audio you can’t use it).
it depends on what if you’re talking about who’s causing the problem who and in the dev console you can just remove the audio you put on the game so it doesn’t work and it doesn’t determine anymore the problem.
Well, I think that that audio was a song from a free model he got from the toolbox way before the audio update, so that may be the reason for the errors. I’ll have to ask him about this.
This error most likely means the audio is no longer obtainable on the Roblox website. Try checking if the audio is private or deleted
I just discovered that that audio was originally in the suburban Roblox Studio template, which my friend used as a template of my game, so it was in the game by default
Yes, there is a way to remove the error. You can change the audio by going to your explorer and searching for sound then change the ID of the sound or delete it. Also, if you have the sound in your file re upload it to Roblox.

I think it doesn’t work your part-contributing audio to roblox which deleted the audio with the update.
