Day 4 or 5 of learning blender- progress update:

I was playing some phantom forces, and thought the AUG looked cool, so I made one. I feel the scope is a bit off, but I don’t mind.

Yesterday I wanted to make my favorite gun, the Winchester 1873. My great great grandfather was a cowboy down in Arizona, and we have his old Winchester, so I figure I could use images online, and personal experience to model one. I did this one yesterday, and can’t remember if I posted about it.

I’m looking for feedback on how these could improve.
Looking forward to day 7 and 8!

These weapons look great! Good job on them! How long did they both take to model? It’s cool that your ancestor was a cowboy! These weapons look well-made! Will you use them in anything?

hi there philip! I love the enthusiasm.

These guns took about 1 1/2 hours each. I am using them in a game called “among the willows.” Thanks for feedback!

These look quite nice, especially for your first few days of learning Blender. To improve, you could work on the little details like adding grooves. I would be interested in seeing the final product with the texture, as I’m sure it would make it look even better.

Also, I just want to preface that bumping posts are not allowed.
