Aura, a small winter showcase

Hey everyone

Now that I have a tiny bit of free time for my hobbies with the busy holiday season, I made a quick little still camera showcase in studio today of a simple snowy valley based off a photograph in Norway.

It’s rather basic but I didn’t want to add too much detail lest it felt overwhelming.

Enjoy the beautiful music “Nearing Dawn” by @DTF!

And here’s a screenshot if you’d prefer

Sometimes people expand the platform to the point where it doesn’t feel like Roblox anymore…

Hey though, looks like a great showcase. +1

How did you manage to pull that crow off though? Custom rig? Custom mesh made in blender too?

Yeah it’s a custom rig I made in blender like the polar bear. The flight was created via following node based Bezier spline curves.

Did you make the trees too?

That’s amazing! Really good job, it’s outstanding lol.

Just watching the scene took all my stress away for a minute or two.

Do you happen to have a site or something where you learned how to use blender?

I’ve never been one to read or watch many tutorials online unless it’s for specific things. I tinker and teach myself for the most part.

However, if you’re the type of learner that learns best that way there is a myriad of free tutorials online.

Also, I’m in a couple different big and active blender discord servers. They have been very supportive to me and quick to help new users grow and learn. I’d recommend that more than anything. Being able to talk directly to dedicated help channels from artists in the community expedites the learning process significantly.

If you add me on discord(tyridge77#5390) I should be able to send you links to them.
