So, Auto-Recovery seems to be working fine. Everything prints in the output and what-not.
However, no file actually appears when I look.
(MM/DD/YYYY)
The file was ‘created’, as said in the output, 22:37:17 of 07/18/2024.
The latest file is 17:24:49 of 06/27/2024.
What’s going on? How can I fix this?
Because of this bug, I lost over 40-60 minutes of development due to a powercut.

Hi. The reason for this is because Auto Recovery files are created only if Studio crashes. You would need to manually publish your changes to Roblox or save your place locally to ensure that no data is loss. This was confirmed by a staff member in a bug report:
Update: autosaves are intended as recovery for when studio crashes. So they only exist as a live, on-disk backup between saves while studio is open. When you’re closing studio, you should save to cloud (in non-Team Create) or rely on the Team Create autosave. Once you close studio the temporary autosaves are deleted.
Really? That sounds like a bad system.
Because if, for example in my case, a power cut happened… then the file is lost.
You should try to constantly save your work every 3-5 minutes to try and prevent situations like this from happening again
Yeah, I know, but if i’m being honest, I always rely on the AutoSaves incase things like that happen.

Hi, just had a crash. No, the file still didn’t save.
edit: it’s in a completely different folder location for some reason.

hmm thats very weird, my studio crashed but the file was never created for me?
It’s saved in a different place (most likely unannounced):
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Roblox\RobloxStudio\AutoSaves
