Automated Mass Deletion of Black Items

Hello,

The following issue is to address current deletions happening to a seemingly random selection of black items (Though, I believe this issue affects all items textured with a single color)

This was supposed to be fixed months ago ??? so I hope something can be done to revert this decision and restore these items.

I’ve contacted creators with items deleted, and they had yet to even receive a notice that their creations have been taken off the marketplace, yet alone completely wiped from the platform.

Expected behavior

Deleting single color items only inadvertently limits creativity, which the platform is supposed to stand for.

I’m assuming all of these items use the same black texture, and because the texture image of one singular item was deleted, it deleted every single one that used it

Some of these did seemingly violate the rules, so I’m not sure if it was a coindence or not that some rule breaking items were deleted.

Thank you for your report. We’ve now fixed this issue and restored any incorrectly removed item. Please let us know if there are any further issues observed regarding black texture based avatar items.

When will these be restored? I’ve checked on multiple items included in the wave and haven’t noticed any change.

Example: Created 1 year ago, Doesn’t violate TOS, deleted 2 days ago because it has a black texture: Black Heart Hairclips 🖤 | Roblox Item - Rolimon's

Thank you for this report and input. Our prior fix has had some gaps and we are investigating this and will circle back

This same thing has happened before but with items with a plain white texture as well.

We’ve identified and fix this particular class of items.
