This would get rid of any games using exploits or bugs to get to the front page. I’m suggesting this since the “ROBUX” games have been getting on the front page for over a month now.
The only problem i could see arising from this is people botting dislikes on games, however this is already difficult to do in volume since you must play a game before you can rate it.
To prevent spam, the system would only put the game under review if it had over 1000 ratings, which the bug games accumulate pretty fast.
Roblox probably shouldn’t be featuring any game worthy of rating under 1/5 on their front page anyway, so i don’t see much harm in it.
Very rare for those games to get >1000 ratings though isn’t it? A game I work on has 700k visits and only 3600 votes in total. To get the 1000 votes minimum and have 4/5 of them be downvotes is rare for a game of free models by a new dev.
You could always add extra criteria like the 1000 votes have to have happened within the past month or something to help prevent false positives.
But even if the “under review” part was removed, I totally agree with the sentiment that Roblox should not be featuring these places automatically on the front page, and the featuring algorithm needs to take the rating into account.
