Clicking on a package in the packages tab only equips the hats that the package wears if you are already wearing a package.
This is in firefox, not sure if this is a browser based glitch

Wearing packages has always been additive, it applies the items in the package on top of what you are already wearing. We plan to tweak this behavior in the future.

So it’s a feature that you have to manually take off all of your previous package parts before putting on a new one?
Can’t we have a prompt that asks if you want to override your parts with the new package?

I think I misunderstood your post. You are saying that the newer package piece doesn’t override existing the existing piece? This is definitely a bug and I have a fix in the pipeline for this.
