Avatar Merchandising for Creators: Curate and Sell Full Looks in Marketplace

When can we expect this feature to roll out on computers?

ok if so, then we don’t need this change and may ask roblox to revert it because it’s useless and only wastes our time.

Same here. I meet all of the requirements and have uploaded and published a UGC item (but it was uploaded and published in a group which I own, does that affect it?) but I cannot see the + button anywhere in the Desktop app.

ok this is cool to roblox promoting ugcs, and clothings

Sounds cool, but i wish it was phone verified instead of id verified

I guess thats to stop children/people in breach of the terms of service from making avatars out of the well known innapropriate clothing on roblox.

It’s not there for me at all for some reason. I have premium, I’m ID verified, I meet all the requirements. I’ve also tried reinstalling the Roblox desktop app but it still wont appear.

y’all should add avatar gifting now tbh

I believe there is already Bulk Purchase and it totally does the job for CAC

That is not what I am asking for, I am asking to publish avatars to the marketplace from inside of an experience, not publishing avatars to the experience.

Understood, sounds complicated to implement since not everyone can use this feature atm.

ID verified is likely to avoid spam, troll alt accs exploiting this feature to create inappropriate outfits and flood the marketplace with it.

Wanted to check this out but I’m not actually allowed to buy the higher premium tiers.

What’s up with that?

Possibly account age or region could be a factor

I have a 15 year old account in the USA

You most likely have to cancel your 450 plan first and then it’ll give you the option to buy the other plans.

Yes. Now, the avatars that you post can be found in the Avatars recommended sort in Marketplace. Users can also discover and purchase your avatars from a direct link.

Indeed it would! We are actively working on APIs to support existing avatar creation experiences in more easily sharing avatars on and off platform. We will have more to share in the near future.

This is a good point thank you for bringing it up. Our aim is to give our creators more ways to curate and post avatars for their community to enjoy. Experiences like Catalog Avatar Creator are an important part of the Roblox community - we plan to support these experiences to post avatars through upcoming developer APIs, and believe this will give avatar creators more surfaces where their work is featured.

Creators can only post avatars if they meet our eligibility criteria, including having published at least one avatar item. Creators who have only published as part of a group will not be able to post avatars at this time.
