I haven’t used the platform for several years. I recently came back and started exploring the newer Avatar Setup window to start accessorizing some custom avatars to use in my game.
Everything is normal when opened without an avatar being used. It simply tells me to select/import an avatar to get started.
However, once an avatar is selected, the window fails to open (and can’t be opened again).
My output is filled with a bunch of internal errors it seems.
This is on the latest version of studio, which I updated today. Its version 0.702.2.7020633 (64bit)
It happens on any Avatar type, whether they be custom ones, or ones generated using Roblox’s own Character Rig creator. It also happens on every place I use.
For system information, i’m running:
Windows 11 Home, Version 10.0.26200 Build 26200
My CPU is a AMD Ryzen 5 7600 6-Core Processor, 3801 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
My GPU is a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti
Expected behavior
According to Roblox’s documentation, I should get something like the following:
@coolkidtris Thank you for reporting this issue.
I’m suspecting the root cause is coming from a change in the folder structure a few months ago that your local installer may have failed to pick up. Do you mind trying a re-install using a recent Installer from https://www.roblox.com/download/studio? The link should download a new RobloxStudioInstaller.exe. Please run this exe from the Downloads folder
Hello! I’m also reporting a similar issue on my end aswell. Upon installation, this issue persists. Haven’t been able to upload bundles because of this.
