The background keeps swallowing the objects in the workspace.
I’m not sure what’s happening, all help appreciated.
The further away I am the more the objects disappear.
Thanks.

I’ve had the same problem before. I think it has to do with the max view distance of the camera. I’m not quite sure how to change the view distance, but maybe you could try scaling down everything in the scene so it isn’t as far away from the camera. This might mess up the render a little bit though because the scale slightly affects the lighting. If this doesn’t work for you, I would suggest looking for other resources on this topic if you can find any.
Yup as @Trickshotblaster said blender has a limit for the viewport area, the only option is to select all with A and then scale it down a bit. Lighting can be adjusted to suit the size so I don’t think that affects in any way.
This is entirely with the Camera, Blender’s camera doesn’t want to render what it doesn’t have to so it doesn’t try to really search for meshes. I’ve had this exact same problem, to fix it All you have to do is open what I call the N menu and go to View. Under View there is a float value called End, changing the value of it will increase or decrease the view of the camera. Warning: It can cause Lag and slow down blender’s processes. I recommend just scaling the meshes down but I do understand if you cant without ruining them.
Just tried it out. Doesn’t extend or decrease the view. Not sure why but thanks! Will just scale everything down
Ah weird, I tested it out with the default cube in my own Instance of Blender. May I ask what version you are using, my current install is 2.91.0
Just tested it again and it only changes the distance out of camera view. I’m using 2.90.0
go into camera settings and change max view distance to 500 m or more
