Backpack Core Gui Not Appearing In Test Servers

  1. Start SystemMenu studio
  2. Click the New Place button, or load a place, tested with both.
  3. Use Tools>Test to start a server then start a player
  4. Any player created will NOT have the backpack core gui, even after tools are put into the backpack or character, so you cannot use tools.

Just make sure there is no Method turning the GUI off.

Press Ctrl+Shift+F and type in the phrase.

I was just about to make a post for this myself. Same thing is happening for me. And it’s rather annoying cause I kinda need the backpack to appear in the player to test what I’m working on…

Also, the players in test server don’t have the menu in the bottom left corner either, usually test server players get the menu where you can adjust in-game settings and reset your character.

I tested it with a blank place.

I also tested with a blank place right away, to make sure It wasn’t anything I had done.

Local servers did have an update to fix CSG bitstream stuff shutting down the local client so it may be related.

I just tried using SetCoreGuiEnabled to enable to backpack for the player since it’s not there, and it still doesn’t come up… I hope this is fixed soon, because it kinda puts a halt on the development of my game because the game I am developing has a tool that is essential to the game and I can’t do much testing of anything without it. And I really dislike scripting without having periodic tests every now and then to make sure what I added/changed is working properly before I continue scripting.

Could you guys tell me what test server you are trying? (Gametest1, Gametest2, sitetest1, etc.) Thanks!

I think OP means in Studio where you set the players and start the server.

This is happening in regular studio. I’m not on any of the gametest or sitetest versions.

Well, on the plus side, I’m very glad to hear it’s not my fault my gear won’t show up, at least. On the negative side, dangit I can’t test tools.
