Backquote is repeatedly spammed as inputbegan when held.

For some reason in studio only, backquote is repeated constantly when held under inputbegan and inputended.

This prevents me from using anything related to backquote.

  1. Launch a test server in studio
  2. Hold backquote and the backpack will constantly open and close

it happens in any studio place file by launching a test server, this was a blank baseplate and its replicateable by holding backquote, you’ll see the backpack opens and closes constantly so no repro file is required.

I cannot reproduce this one my end. Can you follow up with which version of Studio you are using and your log files? You can send the files privately to me, just let me know when you did so. Thanks!

I am using version 0.677.1.6770764

Something odd i have just noticed is that when you hold the quote key and press any other key, it stops repeatedly opening and closing the backpack.

I’m curious if you have any applications that might affect that key specifically?

  • Do you have any macro-related applications installed
  • Do you have Razer Synapse installed?
  • (does your keyboard have built-in macros?)
  • How about any chat apps that use that character for push to talk? (e.g. discord, steam, etc?)

Hi!
I have ICUE from corsair but no keybinds have been assigned to that specific key.
Same thing for chat apps, no keybinds are assigned to that key.

Thank you. I looked at the log file you submitted, it looked incomplete / truncated. If you get a chance please send along a full one after you’ve exited Studio completely.

We’re having a little bit of a hard time reproducing this one on our end. A few more general questions, if you’ll be patient with me:

  • Is this behavior limited to Studio only? You’ve seen nothing like this on any other app?
  • What sort of keyboard do you use? (and is it wireless?)
  • What happens if you open some other app, e.g. notepad, and try to press and hold that key vs pressing and holding a different key?

This does not happen in the roblox client, its specific to studio.

I use a wired keyboard, its the CORSAIR K70 MAX.

If i press the quote key in notepad i have to press spacebar for it to show up or press quote again
If i hold the quote key after half a second it will repeatidly type the quote key just like any other key except for the delay due to the logic most likely.

I pressed play and held the key and pressed the key a couple of times, after that i stopped the playtest and closed studio.
