So, I wanted to name my game Sublimity, but Roblox keeps saying that my game name is inappropriate. For some reason, I can name it Sublime. Does Roblox do a check to see if the word is real, and if not, rejects it?

Roblox has a filter for words, we don’t exactly know what it looks for, but we know it isn’t perfect as shown by this very example. You could try contacting Roblox Support about the issue, but I don’t think that would go anywhere.
Seems like the best option is to rename the game to something else. It is annoying, but I don’t think you can do anything else about it.

As @Reditect said, there’s really nothing you can do, your best bet though if you want to call it that is going to be to contact support or maybe add some punctuation to it which might make it pass. No clue though other than that.
you can try to use other words or Use a font or you can use capital words.
or add some other words after Sublimity or before.
or you can change the main language in the game so Roblox did not think that it was English.

Something interesting is I can’t seem to be able to have anything with the word ‘limity’ in it. Real weird.
